Overview

• TwinCurrent built IBPUnion.dk, the digital home of the International Business & Politics (IBP) community at Copenhagen Business School, live at ibpunion.dk. It pulls the things students actually need (events, study materials, careers, and book trading) into a single platform.

• The full platform spans six modules and is live at ibpunion.dk as the community's central information point.

The Challenge

• IBP community information was scattered across channels with no single home

• Event coordination relied on ad-hoc messaging without RSVP or reminders

• Study materials were shared informally and hard to find later

• Students had no dedicated space for IBP-specific careers and internships

• Buying and selling textbooks within the community was disorganised

System Architecture

• A Next.js application runs over PostgreSQL, with Supabase handling authentication and real-time features. The six modules (events, notes, careers, book marketplace, alumni networking, and the community hub) share one platform and one identity layer.

• The architecture favoured maintainability over novelty: a conventional, well-understood stack that a small team can keep running reliably.
